The Spring Festival in Austin was amazing!

All I can say is WOW. What an incredible weekend. The students from Tampa did really well in Austin at Master Schaefers Spring Festival. And your teachers head is overflowing with lots of katas. I was invited to a private lesson with Grandmaster Sin where he taught us Black Tiger Broadsword. There were only 7 people there! This was a huge honor for me. I loved this form so much that I asked Grandmaster Sin to come to Tampa to teach it to our students. He happily agreed. We will see him either in the Spring or Fall.

As for your fellow students....they cleaned house. Kali Clemmer took 1st place in forms, Steven Clemmer took 2nd in weapons and 3rd in open hand forms, Kellie Clemmer took 2nd in forms and 4th in sparring (she had to fight with 3rd degree black belts in her division), Calvin took first in sparring and Mike Clemmer took 1st in sparring. On a side note, please aid me in wishing Mike Clemmer a fast recovery. He seriously hurt his achilles heel during his last fight.
I also want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Calvin Weekes who did an outstanding job of testing into 1st Degree Brown Belt in front of Grandmaster Sin.

Biggest Loser-Round 2. Who thinks they are ready?

The first round was such a success, that we are going to not only do a round 2, but up the contest guidelines. This time the criteria will be based both on fat loss AND muscle gain. This contest is open to anyone who thinks they are up to the challenge. Amanda Stevens has agreed to discount the bodpods for anyone who wants to compete. If you were in the first round of the biggest loser, the cost is only $50 for one bodpod (we will use your ending bodpod as the beginning this round). If you are a new competitor, the cost is $100 for 2 bodpods. Bod pods are normally $75 each, so thank you Amanda for the huge discount. I am hoping to start this contest within the next week or so, so please get with me if you are interested. We will gear our workouts on saturdays towards weight training as well as cardio conditioning.



Announcements

Along those same lines, I am offering one final tuition special. One year pre-paid enrollment for $1100 or 2 people, 2 years for $2500. This will include free admission to any seminar that I personally teach. Both of these prices will go up by several hundred dollars by the end of next week. And I am only offering one of each, so if you are interested, please contact Sifu Bill ASAP.

The school spring break will be April 6-13th this year.

Dragon uniforms are almost ready to be ordered. I will have a picture up online as soon as i get it downloaded.
